Vietnam is not China. Once you accept that and acknowledge it for what it is, then you can really appreciate the country and people.  

We say this because our expectations were high. We had heard good reports on Vietnam and it was a place we had always wanted to visit, particularly after visiting China, Thailand and Singapore in the past.
